With over 2,000 role-ready students graduating a year, and experienced alumni spanning 15+ years, we provide access to some of the best qualified talent in the industry.

We specialise in supporting entry-level talent attraction using a partnership approach focused on enriching our curriculum through the integration of industry experience, advice and support. We have a range of collaborative opportunities throughout the year, and welcome partnerships with businesses of all sizes, from individuals and agencies to online pureplays and international brand houses.

Placements

We offer various experiences from three weeks to three months. Our team match students to brands based on the areas you’re looking for support, or to recruit into. As our students study part-time, there’s an opportunity to snap up top talent before they graduate, and many of our partners offer students roles starting as soon as their course ends.

Talent access via placements is offered in multiple areas including buying, merchandising, garment & product technology, marketing & PR, creative, digital, visual merchandising, sustainability, analytics and business.

Industry talks

Industry talks and masterclasses are a great opportunity to raise the profile of your company as an employer of choice. Running throughout the year, both in-person and remotely, our Industry talks allow your people to showcase what your brand has to offer, whilst imparting valuable wisdom to our students, helping them with their studies and careers choices at the same time. It’s a win win all round.

Projects

Fancy securing a team of junior student ‘consultants’ to help solve some of your current business challenges? What better way to reach young consumers than by having them work for you. Set a brief and be amazed by the insights and ideas they bring to the table. Some are so good that they’ve been operationalised by our partners, which makes us very proud.

Recruitment Support

Partnerships with the FRA Talent Lab gives you free access to our recruitment support and online jobs board, where you can advertise full-time and part-time roles to the FRA’s current students, recent graduates and alumni from the past 15 years.

Mentoring

Build direct relationships with the FRA’s degree students via our mentoring programme. We ask for a minimum commitment of five check-ins over two years, although the more you put in, the more you get out! Gain regular insights from our top Gen Z talent, and give back and enhance your own development and coaching skills by supporting the career development of emerging retail industry talent.

Focus Groups

Looking to reach younger and digitally-native consumers? We think you’ll be hard pushed to find a better group that represent that audience than our students. We can tailor our Focus Groups to meet your specific needs, be that feedback on new ranges, new online functionality, TikTok retailing or mystery shopping.
